
No-stick Slime Recipe for Sensory Play
What kiddo doesn't love slime!? Slime is a super fun substance to incorporate into sensory play. It can help stimulate the senses, build fine motor skills, and inspire creativity.
Some types of slime are too sticky or complicated to make, but not this one! Here, we are sharing our favorite no-stick slime recipe for sensory play.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup clear glue
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon Borax
Optional:
- liquid watercolor
- glitter
- shaving cream
Additional Supplies:
- Life Skills Board™ or medium-sized bowl
- Magic Mixing Board™ or small bowl/ cup
- Spoon
- Spatula
- Solid Color Board™ or tray to knead slime
Instructions:
- Pour 1 cup clear glue into a bowl
- Add ½ cup warm water to the bowl and mix
- Add any color liquid watercolor or glitter and mix
- In a separate cup or dish, create the “activator” by mixing ¼ teaspoon Borax into a ½ cup of water
- Add the “activator” slowly to the glue bowl and mix well
- When it starts pulling away from the edges of the bowl, take it out and knead on a flat surface for 2-5 minutes
- At this point if you would like make a fluffier slime, add a squirt of shaving cream to your slime
All done!
Makes 16 oz of non sticky slime.
